New job prospects.

Many people think that strong managers are only needed behind the shopping trolley at the REWE Group. Quite the opposite, because in addition to the traditional sales jobs in our branches and stores, there are over 400 different job profiles in our head office departments based in Wiener Neudorf. Every level of professional experience is in demand from trainee to manager – whether it’s as a central buyer, building technician, management accountant or IT specialist. If you would like an international career, you will find that opportunity here too as there are country coordinators for Central and Eastern Europe in many areas. We are always on the lookout for new, motivated talent and want to support them at the start of their careers. Apprentices, school students and university students are therefore very important to us. Your start with us.

An induction programme for the first few weeks of a new team member’s employment provides great guidance for everyone involved. Firstly, it ensures the new employee has the best conditions to successfully familiarise themselves with the company. And secondly, as an employer, we have a fixed schedule to quickly and methodically develop a high-performing employee. The first few weeks in the company are particularly formative, so it is very important to us to proceed in a structured and transparent way. Depending on the area and target position, there are individual training plans that will introduce you to your new area of responsibility in a structured manner. To ensure that the onboarding goes smoothly, we take sustainable measures from the moment you confirm your commitment. You will receive information in advance about your start and will receive an overview of the respective company and the entire REWE Group from the moment you join.

School students

Compulsory school leavers

Compulsory school leavers have the opportunity to complete an apprenticeship in 20 different occupations with us. Around 2,300 apprentices are currently making the most of this opportunity, for example in retail – specialising in food retail, the butchery trade, in perfumery or in general retail, for example as warehouse logistics specialists. Higher vocational college graduates

We also offer interesting job prospects to graduates from colleges, for example HAK, HBLA or HTL! Depending on your interests, there are opportunities in various departments, from purchasing, accounting and HR to building technology or IT. University students

Training on the job!

As part of our trainee programmes, university graduates have the opportunity to start a varied and individually tailored career in the REWE Group’s diverse world of work. The programmes are tailored to the trainees’ respective interests and prepare them perfectly for a career within the company: from young professional to manager is not just your goal, but ours too. The necessary basic knowledge is acquired through actively working in our retail companies’ various specialist departments and branches/stores. You take on responsible tasks right from the start and are directly involved in day-to-day business. This gives you a comprehensive insight into our key processes and corporate structures.
